Do you know how to judge a meat pen or breeding rabbits?  \nMr. Tondre is a longtime BCJLS Board of Directors member and 4-H volunteer\, and he is also our Technical Superintendent. As a child\, he had great success showing rabbits. His children followed in his footsteps and had great success. The family owns their own rabbitry.

SUMMARY:2025 - 2026 BCJLS Ambassador Application Deadline
DESCRIPTION:Introduction\nThe BCJLS will select Ambassadors to represent the BCJLS to the Ambassador’s home\nFFA Chapter or 4-H Club and the community at large. Ambassadors will work with the\nBCJLS Board\, volunteers\, exhibitors\, and judges to help make a quality show. Ambassadors will\ndemonstrate and develop their leadership skills. Ambassadors will be recognized at the BCJLS Auction\nof Champions. \nExpectations\nAmbassadors should stay up to date on BCJLS happenings\, either by attending the public portion of\nBoard meetings or through communication with the Board.\nAmbassadors may be assigned any job at the Show and will likely get dirty. Ambassadors are leaders\nand should look for ways to help without constant direction. Ambassadors are expected to attend the\nShow on assigned days (at least one show day and either the set-up or clean-up) and may NOT work on\na day they themselves are exhibiting an entry. Ambassadors will not be scheduled to work the day\nbefore one of their shows. Show workdays are long (typically 6am to 7pm). Food will be provided. \nApplication Deadline\nApril 30\, 2025. Send completed applications to VP1@bcjls.com. \nRequirements\nMust submit a COMPLETE application. If selected\, MUST attend an interview with Board members. \nCurrent Ambassadors MUST reapply to return the following year.\nMust be in the 9th – 12th grades at the time of the Show in December 2025.\nOnly bona fide Bexar County FFA or Bexar County 4-H members are eligible to participate.\nMust be in good academic standing (see BCJLS General Show Rule 11).\nMust be in good standing with their FFA Chapter or 4-H Club. \nSelection Process\nThe BCJLS Ambassador Committee will review applications and select applicants to be interviewed. \nDress Code\nBCJLS Ambassadors will wear a vest provided by BCJLS over a long sleeve white shirt. Returning\nAmbassadors will wear their previous vest.
