Ambassador interviews are scheduled Tuesday evening, 5/12/2026, 6pm – 9:00pm, and Sunday afternoon, May 17, 2026, 1pm – 8pm. This year, interviews will ONLY be held at the BCJLS office.

Interviewees should be onsite and ready to start their interview at their slot time. We will try to stay on time but interviewees should be prepared to wait and/or be onsite for 1 hour. Late arrivals will not be interviewed. No-shows will not be rescheduled. Interviewees who leave before their interview are not guaranteed to be rescheduled. Interviewees may bring a drink to their interview. 

Candidates will have an approximately 15 minute interview with members of the BCJLS Board of Directors. The BOD members will treat the interview as a real job interview. We view this interview as a chance for students to experience and practice for real-world interviews. Interview questions will cover general topics that might come up in any interview AND agriculture related questions covering general and specific ag knowledge. 

Candidates will be scored on basic criteria such as appearance, grooming, and poise and on how they answer the questions. Interviewers are trying to determine how well the interviewee would present themselves and represent the BCJLS, how they handle pressure, and how they handle questions they do not necessarily know the answer to. The work ethic of previous Ambassadors will be considered. 

There are approximately 50 applicants again this year. We will select about 30 Ambassadors.
